This was created using PSP9 but can be adapted for other versions of PSP.

You will need the following to complete this tutorial

Materials
RIGHT CLICK >>> SAVE TARGET AS

Angra1.bmp
Save to your PSP Patterns folder

Metal brass.PspGradient (You probably have this already)
Save to your PSP Gradients folder

JF_Clip.psp
HM_Template_Clips01.psp
JF_Pin.psp
Save to a folder on your computer

yandy121304.PspShape
Save to your PSP Shapes folder

Open up the
HM_Template_Clips01.psp image in your PSP workspace
WINDOW >>> DUPLICATE

Using your duplicated image

EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE EFFECTS >>> SCULPTURE
COLOUR = "
#98b2bd "



EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL






Save as .psp image

The following clip was created the same way using the
Angra1.bmp
as the SCULPTURE pattern.

PAPERCLIP 2

In your MATERIALS PALETTE
Load the '
Metal brass ' GRADIENT in your foreground



Open up the
JF_Clip.psp image in your PSP workspace
WINDOW >>> DUPLICATE

Using your duplicated image and with the merged layer active.

Choose your SELECTION TOOL
Selection Type = Rectangle
Mode = Replace
Feather = 0
Antialias = Checked

Draw a rectangle around the shape.
Click inside the rectangle to select the shape.

Flood fill with the GRADIENT

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL



EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 0
Colour = Black
Opacity = 80
Blur = 0



In your MATERIALS PALETTE
Load SOLID BLACK in your background

LAYERS >>> NEW RASTER LAYER

Select your PRESET SHAPES tool (
yandy121304 )



Place your cursor at 50 pixels across and 20 pixels down drag your cursor to
140 pixels across and 170 pixels down



DELETE RASTER 1

LAYERS >>> MERGE >>> MERGE VISIBLE

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> DROP SHADOW
Vertical & Horizontal offsets = 0
Colour = Black
Opacity = 80
Blur = 0

Save as .psp image

SAFETY PIN


Open up the
JF_Pin.psp image in your PSP workspace
WINDOW >>> DUPLICATE

Using your duplicated image

Choose your FREEHAND SELECTION TOOL
Selection Type = Point to Point
Mode = Replace
Feather = 0
Antialias = Checked

Section off the head of the pin as shown below



Click inside the marching ants to select the shape.

Flood fill with the gradient

EFFECTS >>> TEXTURE EFFECTS >>> MOSAIC - ANTIQUE
COLOUR = "
#c0ac00 "



ADJUST >>> SHARPNESS >>> SHARPEN

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL



DESELECT



With
your FREEHAND SELECTION TOOL
Select the black section of the pin shown below



Click inside the marching ants to select the shape.

Flood fill with the gradient

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL





DESELECT

With
your FREEHAND SELECTION TOOL
Select the remaining black section of the pin shown below





Click inside the marching ants to select the shape.

Flood fill with the gradient

EFFECTS >>> 3D EFFECTS >>> INNER BEVEL
